“Art That Speaks. Stories That Heal.”
THE VISONARY BEHIND THE VISION
Denise Johnson is a writer, actor, and director, born and raised in East Orange, New Jersey. A passionate storyteller and creative visionary, Denise founded Angel Street Productions to bring powerful and meaningful stories to life through theater, film, and television.
Denise’s work is driven by a deep commitment to storytelling that explores real-life experiences, emotional healing, family dynamics, and personal transformation. Through her productions, she strives to create work that not only entertains but also inspires conversation, reflection, and connection within communities.
The name Angel Street Productions was inspired by Denise’s late mother, whom she lovingly describes as her earthly angel. After her mother’s passing, Denise chose to honor her legacy by naming the company after the love, strength, and guidance that her mother represented in her life. That spirit continues to inspire the heart and mission behind every production.
Through Angel Street Productions, Denise is committed to creating opportunities for artists while producing bold and impactful stories that resonate with audiences both on stage and on screen. Her vision is to use storytelling as a powerful tool for healing, empowerment, and connection.
